Domestic violence affects 1 in 4 women in Germany, and millions of others around the world. But because people don’t pay much attention to statistics we used one of Berlin’s icons to raise awareness for this problem: the photo booth.
Vorige week sprak ik een opdrachtgever over de benodigde kwaliteit van het beeldmateriaal voor drukwerk en het verschil ten opzichte van een beeldschermresolutie. Haar reactie was nogal grappig: “Oh echt, DPI betekent dus Dots Per Inch?” Als je het verschil tussen beeldscherm- en drukwerk resolutie kent, lever je waarschijnlijk geen ‘plaatje van het internet’ meer aan bij afbeeldingen die in een brochure nodig zijn. Om de onduidelijkheid tussen PPI, DPI en pixels weg te nemen, zou deze uitleg misschien kunnen helpen.
“Our speed is one of the few things we control on the roads. While speed doesn’t always cause crashes, it always determines the severity of a crash. This is because the speed we travel at creates a force and it’s our vehicle and our bodies that absorb this force in a crash. This means the faster we choose to travel, the more severe a crash will be (whether the crash is our fault or not)”.
